You could sum Rebecca up as tenacious and brilliant, but she'd probably say "and...?" and make Shaun roll his eyes. So let's make this a little more comprehensive than that.
Rebecca Crane, hacker, former extreme athlete, and, of course, Assassin. She might seem normal--okay, abnormal, really, who never takes their headphones off?--when you first look at her, but she's far from that. Inside that brain, under the stylish hairdo is a mind that runs at the speed of information itself; at least, it seems that way. Unlike some lesser person in her situation, nothing can wrench her away from her task. If the Animus is screwing up, if someone's trying to die, if the world's ending, you'll find Rebecca on post until the last minute and then some. Puzzles don't bother her; she's wizard-class, if you will, on the hacking front, doing all those computer things no one understands. Her pride in her work is second-to-none, really; she's quick to call the Templars out as unimaginative and incapable of streamlining.
You might think she's unarmed, other than little bits of data, but you'd be setting yourself up for a disaster. Other than her athleticism and ability to fight, she has a wicked tongue and doesn't bother dredging up little things to get to people, both in humor and for utility's sake. She is a creature of habit though, always watching, ever vigilant, and obsessed with any task she's put to. She'll stab someone in the back--say, over yogurt--if it'll keep her on her desired schedule and get certain history enthusiasts in trouble.
Now, here's the good part, the part everyone forgets. See, just because she doesn't let anything get in her way, it doesn't mean nothing gets her down. She misses her life, her family, her friends, even her dog. There's an element of... of fear and watchfulness that drives her, that's saved people she's come into contact with, too. Brilliantly, she can find time to set the worries aside, covering her hours and minutes with music, drinks, little inane things that remind her that when everything is over, well... She'll be free to live however she wants. We hope.
abilities/powers: Rebecca is a badass normal. She's got amazing hacking skills, some freerunning and trained-up climbing skills, great athleticism and talent for extreme sports, and obviously the ability to kick ass. She's kind of a computer genius.

[A low voice sounds on the other end of the line:] Oh, man.
[A silence, then she speaks in a more normal tone.] Maybe you guys need to take the phone away from me. I'm getting into stuff I probably shouldn't be. Way easier to hack these things than I thought.
Alright, so who wants me to fix that on your phone? I've got nothing better to do when my laptop's busted.
Des, Luce, you guys up for hanging out?

The short-haired girl with the headphones on, idly poking at her Guide, might have looked totally natural in the cafe, but the truth was that she was on edge. She felt like she'd been followed for days, got the sense someone might've been watching her, maybe even trying to intercept the signal from her Guide.
Paranoia. She dismissed it as the paranoia of being alone, not knowing what had really happened to her fellow Assassins. Still, the whole Purist thing hit too close to home for Rebecca. To be opposed, but not really know who was opposing you was the worst situation you could be in. You couldn't get an advantage, and no matter how much data you gather and how much you explore, if you're outnumbered, you're screwed. On the Thor, there was nowhere to hide, nowhere to strike from or make a base of operations that wasn't way too easy to infiltrate.
She'd been making do, though, networking very quietly, letting her identity be hidden by her interests. Hell, she'd even done a little rock wall climbing and checked out a mountainous planet just for nostalgia's sake. It wasn't enough to completely reassure her, though. She always glanced over her shoulder, scrutinizing every glance that lingered a bit too long, returning a knowing smile.
It didn't hurt to be overly cautious, did it?
